Our client, a leader in the healthcare manufacturing industry, is seeking a highly motivated Sustainability Reporting Manager to join their team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving and managing sustainability initiatives across multiple facilities, with a focus on reducing environmental impact and supporting the company’s sustainability goals. Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Sustainability Data Management:
- Oversee the collection and consolidation of sustainability data (Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions) across multiple sites.
- Monitor and track key environmental indicators such as energy consumption, waste generation, water usage, and carbon emissions.
- Ensure the accurate reporting of sustainability data for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the transition from manual data collection processes to more streamlined and automated systems.
Reporting and Communication:
- Lead the development and preparation of the company’s annual sustainability report, ensuring alignment with relevant reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, CDP).
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather data and insights necessary for accurate reporting.
- Provide timely responses to internal and external inquiries regarding the company’s environmental performance.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to communicate sustainability performance to key stakeholders.
Project Development & Implementation:
- Manage and execute sustainability projects focusing on waste reduction, energy efficiency, and resource conservation across multiple sites.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and timelines.
- Establish and monitor sustainability KPIs to track the progress and success of initiatives.
- Facilitate the development and integration of sustainability strategies into company operations.
Research & Industry Benchmarking:
- Stay current on emerging sustainability trends, best practices, and industry regulations.
- Benchmark the company’s sustainability performance against industry peers to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Make data-driven recommendations for enhancing sustainability initiatives and ensuring continuous improvement.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Assist in identifying and evaluating environmental risks across the organization’s operations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national environmental regulations, including waste management and emissions reporting.
- Develop and maintain processes to ensure ongoing compliance with environmental and sustainability regulations.
- Lead efforts to mitigate environmental risks and integrate risk management practices into sustainability projects.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a sustainability or environmental role, preferably within a multi-site operation.
- Strong experience in scope 1, 2, and 3 data gathering and knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, CDP).
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and knowledge of sustainability regulations (e.g., CSRD) is a plus.
