Full Job Description
Citizens State Bank is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Specialist to join our team! This individual will play a lead role in supporting the daily transaction processing and servicing of customer deposit accounts. The Senior Operations Specialist will oversee a wide range of operational processes to ensure compliance with bank procedures and regulatory requirements while providing oversight of core bank processing systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage exception items, review and verify reconcilements
- Manage Fed funds between correspondent bank accounts ensuring funds are available in appropriate accounts
- Serve as a backup for various department functions
- Wire processing, input and approval, ACH approval
- Review and maintain Yellow Hammer fraudulent transaction monitoring system
- Serve as system administrator for core bank deposit systems (i.e. Jack Henry CIF 20/20, Alogent AccuAccount, Yellow Hammer, etc.)
- Process all overdraft items daily
- Serve in lead role for department projects and audit/exam support as assigned
- Process levies, garnishments, and subpoenas

Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in the banking industry, with a strong background in deposit and payments operations, customer service, and a comprehensive understanding of deposit products and services, including digital banking.
- Knowledge of deposit payment, ACH, and Fedwire processing.
- A high school diploma or GED is required, with a preference for a post-secondary degree.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to resolve conflicts, build relationships, and cooperate with others.
- Must demonstrate the ability to handle discussions with a high level of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
- Experience with general ledger control and account reconciliation.
