The VP, Marketing is responsible for leading the agency’s marketing delivery services, with a focus on developing and executing high-impact strategies for nonprofits and purpose-driven organizations. This role requires a deep understanding of nonprofit fundraising, donor engagement, and the unique tools and platforms that drive success in the sector, including mastery of HubSpot’s CRM and marketing automation capabilities.
The VP, Marketing will craft strategic marketing plans that align with the clients’ needs and organizational objectives, ensuring seamless execution of campaigns that exceed client expectations. This role involves collaborating closely with purpose-driven clients to understand or help them define their goals, crafting data-driven strategies, and empowering internal teams to deliver measurable results.
The ideal candidate is a client-focused leader, with escalating agency experience and a proven track record of leveraging marketing technology to create integrated communications plans that serve both marketing and fundraising, optimize donor journeys, improve campaign performance, and drive long-term support for purpose-driven organizations (both for-profit and non-profit).
Requirements
- Strategic vision: Establish the vision and direction for the agency's marketing delivery services, ensuring alignment with the broader company goals and evolving industry trends.
- Marketing research & strategy: Conduct in-depth research into the competitive landscape, target personas, and relevant industry trends to inform strategic recommendations. Leverage data analytics to identify campaign strengths and weaknesses, guiding strategy refinement.
- Marketing planning and executional oversight: Craft comprehensive marketing plans tailored to each client's specific needs. These plans should outline key marketing initiatives, timelines, budgets, success metrics, and technology recommendations (including optimal use of HubSpot features).
- Account management and success alignment: Serve as the trusted advisor for clients, deeply understanding client objectives and unique challenges, advocating for their needs and ensuring exceptional service through seamless team collaboration.
- Client-centric leadership: Work closely with the team practice leads to understand client pain points, goals, and target audiences. Collaborate on developing data-driven marketing strategies aligned with the broader fundraising and communication objectives.
- Team empowerment: Build and empower a high-performing delivery team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, innovation, and accountability.
- Data-driven optimization: Establish a robust system for tracking and analyzing campaign performance metrics, providing actionable insights to continuously improve marketing programs.
- MarTech mastery: Champion the implementation of modern marketing technology (mostly HubSpot but also AI tools and fundraising tools) to create streamlined, effective solutions for client organizations, from automation to analytics.
- Quality champion: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to identify and implement solutions for enhancing efficiency and quality.
- Digital Agency and Non-Profit Marketing: Minimum 8 Years experience in digital agency and non-profit-marketing or similar purpose driven organizations.
