POSITION SUMMARY

MorphWorks is currently seeking a well rounded Cloud Engineer - Intern with experience managing a variety of Cloud-related projects. These projects focus on collaborating and supporting clients with Cloud builds and troubleshooting infrastructure issues. This role is an integral part of transforming Cloud technologies and provides department, company, and management implementation solutions. As the last stop within the technical support group, timely problem solving and issue resolution are key qualities of an ideal candidate.

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• 1-3 years experience as a Cloud Engineer
• Automate deployments utilizing custom templates and modules for client environments on AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Expertise in AWS, Azure, and GCP environment best practices and deployment methodologies
• Create automation tools and processes to improve day to day functions
• Educate client on AWS, Azure, and GCP and best practices and architecture
• Act as an escalation point for our Cloud Support Engineers when required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Required ability to successfully meet CJIS requirements including proof of U.S. citizenship, background checks (including national fingerprint record checks and drug testing), and/or criminal history investigations. This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Extensive knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP Products & Services, Caching, Object and Block Storage, Scaling, Load Balancing, CDNs, Networking etc
• Excellent working knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems – experience of supporting and troubleshooting issues and performance
• Intermediate understanding of central networking concepts: VLANs, layer2/3 routing, access lists, and load balancing
• Good understanding of the design of native Cloud applications and Cloud application design patterns and practices
• Strong experience using CloudFormation. Terraform is a plus, but not required
• Kubernetes experience is a plus, as is experience with Relational and NoSQL Databases
• Knowledge of databases (SQL Server and MySQL)
• Working knowledge of Backup and Recovery methodology and implementations
• Good knowledge of application development using Agile and DevOps best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate both technical issues to non-technical and technical audiences
• Effective with time management and expected deliverables
• An ability to multi-task and work on multiple concurrent projects
• Must be AWS, Azure, and/or GCP Certified or actively working towards obtaining certification within 90 days of starting role
