Full Job Description

With the collective Training Team, the Field Training Manager (FTM) will determine training needs by meeting with colleagues, leadership, sales teams, and dealer partners to identify gaps and propose effective training solutions. The FTM will be responsible for the maintenance and delivery of the Learning & Development Solutions across flexible learning modalities to meet the needs of a fast-paced learner in a seasonal business. This includes small-group Classroom Setting, 1:1 Coaching, on-site Workshops, microlearning videos, and Virtual Classrooms. The ideal candidate uses confidence, passion, and fun to elevate the focus and performance of the Teams they train.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who has industry experience and is comfortable with our product offerings.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Facilitate in-field training sessions held in-office at the Center of Excellence in Southern California, in-dealer at locations worldwide, and on-line via Zoom and video creation.
  • Travel 25-75% to facilitate training during peak training season from Jan-May and informal season from Jun-Dec.
  • Build the capabilities of others through relevant, timely, balanced feedback and coaching in many areas including Sales Process, Sales Techniques, Sales Management, Critical Thinking and Leadership.
  • Forecast, track, and maintain accurate attendance for budgeting and resource planning.
  • Create materials that promote and support driving attendance at all sessions through internal and external communication channels and direct outreach to attendees.
  • Coordinate facilitation logistics including registration, communications, onsite supplies (i.e., projector, workbooks, chart paper, etc.), hotel accommodations, food and beverage considerations, transport, etc.
  • Create, design, maintain, and enhance training content using existing knowledge of the Hot Tub and Swim Spa Industry.
  • Uphold commitment to the team by meeting deadlines, being cooperative, collaborative, and flexible.
  • Flex content and delivery methods to meet the needs of dealer partners, their staff and our own employees.
  • Develop and improve training materials, processes, adoption and effectiveness by assessing formal & informal feedback from key stakeholders, with specific focus on in-field Training Tools.
  • Refine existing knowledge of the Hot Tub and Swim Spa Industry, mainly focused on Sales Process and Products, but includes Competitors, Marketing, Technology, etc.
  • Maximize effectiveness by staying current on training methods, learning tools and training practices.
  • Participate in Marketing & Sales Leadership meetings, training events and business strategy meetings as needed.
  • Model behaviors expected of our leadership position in the industry, including a drive for top results, a clear bias for action, high levels of professionalism, and commitment to diversity, inclusion, respect and integrity.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills are a must.
  • Demonstrated success incorporating existing industry experience and product knowledge across all varieties of training methods.
  • Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and manage job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities.
  • General knowledge of learning and development principles and practices, adult learning theory, curriculum design, needs assessment and evaluation methodology is preferred. Familiarity with current and emerging trends in learning design and development.
  • Ability to work successfully with all levels in the company and across multiple functions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and professionally represent the company internally and externally.
  • Ability to model the behavior and attitude of commitment, respect, education, proactivity, positivity and collaboration in the work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Background in the hot tub and swim spa industry is required.
  • 5+ years in a training environment with a significant focus on Sales Training or Solution Selling (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education is preferred.

Compensation is based on experience; $90,000+ and bonus potential
