Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Coordinator will oversee our Houston and Beaumont divisions[JF1] . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and health of our workforce by implementing and overseeing safety protocols on project sites. This position requires a strong understanding of occupational health standards, compliance management, and risk management practices. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with various teams to build a culture of safety and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations.

Requirements
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of project sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide training and resources to employees on occupational health practices, emergency procedures, and safe work practices. Lead safety training and orientation for all employees.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety measures into construction management plans.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions for compliance with TRP safety program.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Stay updated on changes in HSE regulations, NEC codes, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Work with workers' compensation claims to facilitate timely reporting and resolution of incidents.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must pass pre employment drug screening
- Proven experience in occupational health and safety roles, preferably within the heavy highway construction industry.
- ATSSA certifications (preferred)
- First Aid/CPR training (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles and compliance management systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and developing effective safety strategies.
- Relevant certifications in HSE or safety management are highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be willing to preform site visits and inspections, which may require walking and climbing.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Availability:
· Monday – Friday.
· Must be able to work some nights and weekends.
· Must be able to work overtime.
· Must be able to travel when necessary.
