Cycle Counter

Job Summary:
1 Resource Group seeks a meticulous Cycle Counter for a leading ion and metal company in Houston, Texas to maintain accuracy in inventory management through the implementation of cycle counting procedures. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the integrity of inventory data, identifying discrepancies, and assisting in maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular cycle counts of inventory items to ensure accuracy and compliance with inventory goals.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records.
• Maintain accurate and organized inventory records and documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of inventory reports for management review.
• Work closely with the warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate counting schedules and minimize disruption to operations.
• Support the implementation and adherence to inventory control processes.
• Utilize inventory management software to track counts and adjustments.
• Report on cycle counting performance metrics and highlight areas for improvement.
• Train and mentor team members on cycle counting procedures.
• Participate in inventory audits and assist with the annual physical inventory count.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.

Experience:

• Previous experience in inventory management, cycle counting, or warehouse operations preferred.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills to facilitate coordination between departments.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical counts in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and navigate warehouse settings effectively.
