General Role Description
Develop and maintain a financial and business analysis function capable of providing accurate and timely financial information which will enable the international, multi-entity, multi-currency company to meet its business commitments
Role Accountabilities
- Lead monthly financial close process for US and foreign entities to ensure timely and accurate financial statements, including consolidation and foreign currency translation for foreign affiliates and account reconciliations
- Build and lead a team of committed and capable employees to ensure successful delivery of finance services aligned with business objectives
- Ensure the Oracle based ledger systems for all legal entities comply with appropriate country regulations
- Lead the accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial reporting package in line with US GAAP and ad hoc requests including presentation materials for senior leadership
- Implement the effective design, development, implementation, measurement, and management of finance and accounting to continuously increase capability and performance
- Implement and maintain a robust internal control environment
- Lead the annual financial audits with external auditors, including resolution of key accounting issues
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and inventory transactions
- Provide necessary data for the completion of the annual tax return preparation, including the research & development and other tax credits, in collaboration with internal tax team and external tax advisors
- Provide business unit and shared service departments with timely and accurate information, as necessary or requested
- Manage annual lease accounting process per ASC 842

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in accounting or finance or equivalent via education and/or work experience
- 8 years’ progressively responsible positions in finance and/or accounting
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable legislation and regulatory guidelines and their impact on business processes and strategy
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and project financial impact of multi-currency, multi-entity transactions on the general ledger
- Proficiency in financial module of an ERP system
- CPA or CMA Certification
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Demonstrated experience leading a team to achieve business goals
- Demonstrated success developing, implementing, measuring, and improving effective systems in functional areas
- Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
- Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
- Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
- Availability to travel, domestically and internationally, up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a business with foreign ownership, preferably Japanese
- Demonstrated experience in a business which measures results principally by project and by levels of overall support costs
- Demonstrated managerial accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience with ASC 606 analysis for over-time vs point-in-time revenue recognition
