Business Development Manager for After-School Programs

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to lead our expansion efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business leads, executing successful school and school district partnerships, and representing the organization at events designed to expand partnerships.

Salary range: $60,000-$70,000 annual base salary + generous commission
Position includes vehicle allowance, company laptop and cell phone, and travel expenses
Must be available to travel up to 80%. Initial travel will be focused within South Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:

• Explore new markets and connect with outside stakeholders to discover new business opportunities.
• Initiate, cultivate, and maintain strong strategic relationships with current and potential clients and other stakeholders.
• Prepare compelling proposals and presentations for potential clients and partners.
• Negotiate with stakeholders to finalize contracts, ensuring terms align with business goals.
• Create, oversee, and execute sales plans to achieve goals including prospecting, cultivation, and maintenance.
• Represent the Quest Zone brand at sales generation events, including but not limited to professional conferences, trade shows, sponsored events, etc.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies.
• 5-8 years of leadership experience in public school-related services.
• Ability to flourish with minimal guidance and be proactive.
• Ability to manage complex projects and tasks.
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient PC skills, especially Microsoft Office software expertise.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 80%.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or elementary education.
• Familiarity with afterschool care programs and the education industry.
• Proven experience in business development, preferably in the education sector.

Location: This is a full-time remote position. Preferred location(s) of residency:

• Greenville, SC
• Columbia, SC
• Charleston, SC

Schedule: Normal hours are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.

Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 annual base salary + commission

Travel: Must be available to travel up to 80%. Overnight travel is required. Initial travel will be focused within South Carolina.
