About the Role:

We are looking for an Electronic technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of electronics and the tuning of Eriez industrial metal detectors. Each Technician is responsible for ensuring that every detector meets or exceeds Eriez strict guidelines to enable our customers to protect their products from metal contaminants. This position is also responsible for the integration of these metal detectors into basic and complex conveyor and free-fall systems that will be used in various industries. This position ensures customer satisfaction by providing safe, reliable operation of Eriez metal detection equipment that is intended to protect our customers and their customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test electronic circuits at the component level without supervision
  • Build and service metal detectors as required
  • Wire and test standard MD conveyor and systems for customer orders
  • Write complete, clear, test reports promptly
  • Use the label printer to make appropriate tags for Eriez equipment
  • Assist production in trouble-shooting customer orders
  • Run product effect tests and keep accurate up to date records
  • Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
  • Maintain clean and safe work area
  • Complete tasks timely and efficiently in accordance with expectations as directed by supervisor
  • Able to operate tools including but not limited to, hand tools, manual machine tools, oscilloscope, soldering iron, drill press, etc.
  • Ability to learn Eriez labor and work order collection system
  • Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • At least 2 years industrial electronics experience
  • Two-year degree in electrical/electronic technology, or equivalent experience assembling, wiring, and testing industrial control equipment
  • Ability to read and use electrical schematics
  • Working knowledge of solid state and integrated circuitry
  • Experience assembling, testing, and repairing electronic equipment desirable
  • Ability to read and understand complicated drawings, wiring diagrams and circuit schematics
  • Ability to use electronic test equipment to troubleshoot electronic circuits
  • Understanding and experience with setup, programming, testing, and implementation of computer control systems used for industrial equipment

Hourly Pay : - $25.55/hr. (Commensurate with Experience)
