Full Job Description
RMF Engineering, Inc has an immediate need for an Electrical or Mechanical Commissioning Technician to join the Charlotte, NC office to provide quality control for a wide variety of new construction and existing building projects.
Duties
- Client’s projects include higher-ed, municipal, healthcare, and federal construction sectors.
- Tasks follow industry standards for New Building Commissioning and Retro-Commissioning defined by NC Energy Code, ASHRAE, LEED, Green Globes, BCXA, and ACG.
- Office and site support.
- Design review.
- Life cycle cost analysis.
- Meetings and construction site visits.
- Energy analysis.
- Field testing and troubleshooting MEP systems.
- Authoring reports. The individual must have high verbal and written communication skills to interact regularly with with clients, construction contractors, trade contractors and other engineering companies.
Requirements
- Must have high verbal and written communication skills
- 2 to 4 Years’ experience in construction industry.
- HVAC Equipment background.
- TAB Air Balance experience.
- Controls experience.
- Contractor experience.
- Bachelor’s degree of science in Mechanical Engineering.
- and/or 2-year Engineering Technical degree.
