Commissioning Technician

RMF Engineering, Inc has an immediate need for an Electrical or Mechanical Commissioning Technician to join the Charlotte, NC office to provide quality control for a wide variety of new construction and existing building projects.

Duties

• Client’s projects include higher-ed, municipal, healthcare, and federal construction sectors.

• Tasks follow industry standards for New Building Commissioning and Retro-Commissioning defined by NC Energy Code, ASHRAE, LEED, Green Globes, BCXA, and ACG.
• Office and site support.
• Design review.
• Life cycle cost analysis.
• Meetings and construction site visits.
• Energy analysis.
• Field testing and troubleshooting MEP systems.
• Authoring reports.  The individual must have high verbal and written communication skills to interact regularly with with clients, construction contractors, trade contractors and other engineering companies.

Requirements

• Must have high verbal and written communication skills
• 2 to 4 Years’ experience in construction industry.
• HVAC Equipment background.
• TAB Air Balance experience.
• Controls experience.
• Contractor experience.
• Bachelor’s degree of science in Mechanical Engineering.
• and/or 2-year Engineering Technical degree.
