Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for HVAC projects based on specifications and requirements.
- Analyze blueprints and technical documents to assess project scope and identify any potential challenges.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and suppliers to obtain necessary pricing and materials information.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather data for accurate estimations.
- Compile and maintain a database of cost information and previous project estimates for future reference.
- Provide recommendations on pricing strategies and bid submissions to improve competitiveness.
- Support the project management team in budget development and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong HVAC background - design built, Mechanical Engineering knowledge, experience in all HVAC fields
- 7+ years of experience in HVAC estimating, with a proven track record in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation processes.
- Proficient in estimating software and tools (e.g., AccuBid, Bluebeam, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
