About the Role:
We are seeking Advanced Care Providers (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants) to join our expanding Internal Medicine teams and collaborate closely with our Chief Medical Officers. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care and bring an innovative, forward-thinking approach to their work. Candidates should possess strong internal medicine knowledge and have experience in urgent care, primary care, or family medicine, with a comfort level in treating the adult population.
Essential Job Duties:
- Perform a variety of CT, MR, Dexa and X-ray imaging procedures and functions that require independent judgment and ingenuity with minimal supervision, on members/patients of all age groups
- Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations, observing different and special requirements for each protocol, ensuring proper documentation
- Assume responsibilities for designated areas of Xray, Mammography and Dexa, producing high-quality technical images and reviewing completed exams for quality and completeness
- Troubleshoot departmental technical issues according to correct procedural guidelines
- Practice and employ ALARA principles for all patients and Members
- Ensure all QC sheets are completed accurately
- Must have knowledge of regulatory safety requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public
- Knowledge of concepts, standards, procedures and equipment
- Must be able to work extended hours when necessary
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Compensation:
$55-65hr
Requirements
- Experienced with, or exposure to, MRI and CT cross training
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital or outpatient setting
- High school diploma plus a degree from a 2 year AMA approved Radiology school
- ARRT registration and NY State Radiologic Technology license
- NYS DOH Certification for Injection preferred but not required
