Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sr. Business Development Associate with an MBA from a top tier business school or currently within a Business Development/Operations role for a fast growing startup or management consulting background interested in an internship. The ideal candidate has a background in operational execution, communications and implementation, as well as experience in taking projects from idea to execution in a corporate setting. This role will focus on implementation and execution of business development activities, revenue or sales initiatives as well as research, pitch development and sales for new and add on growth opportunities. This unique opportunity to report to the CEO of a mid-stage company will provide access to board level work and the intersection of operations and marketing, as well as new museum/concept development. The job will require understanding the job deeply including a 3 month training program where the associate will work every position in the museum from line level to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead public relations, liaise with press
- Build and sell partnership and project pitchbooks, project management plans
- Manager internal communication projects and major corporate events like annual summits, c-suite meetings and leadership offsites
- Step into operations, hospitality, sales and marketing projects with a genuine love and passion for guiding people; performing in the museum and raising the level of global hospitality
- Lead project management efforts, overseeing the execution and implementation of new business initiatives.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to enhance revenue growth, profitability and operational efficiency.
- Sell and represent brand for partnerships and community relations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement operational strategies that align with our business objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for expansion.
- Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients to support business development efforts.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management to demonstrate progress and outline future steps in operational and business development strategies.
- Expect travel, extended hours and weekends
Requirements
- MBA from an accredited business school is required or experience within a similar role, management consulting or investment banking.
- Proven experience in business development with a focus on operational roles within a dynamic business environment.
- Extensive experience in managing high-value operations and projects, demonstrating a successful track record in strategic execution.
- Strong understanding of operational execution and implementation within a specific business role.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
Compensation for this internship is $50/hr. for the duration of the role.
