Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced Superintendent to oversee the execution of high-end hospitality and restaurant construction projects. This key leadership role demands a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in hospitality construction, along with a proven ability to manage complex operations on-site. Our Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety, while adhering to project timelines and budgets.
In this role, you will take charge of supervising daily operations on-site, coordinating between various trades, and ensuring that project specifications are met. Your industry experience will enable you to effectively manage subcontractors, labor forces, and resources, while maintaining strong communication with project stakeholders. You will play a crucial role in implementing best practices, optimizing processes, and fostering a collaborative work environment that drives efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all construction activities across multiple high-profile hospitality and restaurant projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, schedules, and budgets.
- Manage and supervise all phases of construction from pre-construction planning through to project completion, ensuring smooth transitions between each stage.
- Develop, implement, and maintain detailed project schedules that facilitate timely completion of tasks and critical milestones, proactively addressing potential delays.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Subcontractors, and Suppliers to ensure seamless execution of project plans and adherence to timelines.
- Direct the day-to-day operations of the construction site, fostering an efficient, safe, and productive work environment for all team members.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality of work, and compliance with safety regulations and building codes, providing immediate corrective actions as needed.
- Liaise with Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors to ensure all project specifications, codes, and standards are met, facilitating clear communication and problem resolution.
- Maintain and organize accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, financial records, change orders, Submittals, and RFIs, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible.
- Monitor project progress against established timelines, making adjustments as necessary to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Provide regular updates to project stakeholders regarding progress, challenges, and any changes in project scope, ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster a culture of strong communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders, encouraging a cohesive approach to project execution.
- Proactively manage and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, utilizing strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to achieve favorable outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality or restaurant construction sectors.
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, methods, materials, and applicable legal regulations, with a strong focus on hospitality projects.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera, or similar tools, with the ability to leverage technology for project tracking and reporting.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and motivate a diverse team of construction professionals.
- Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Experience in construction estimating, quality control processes, and risk management strategies.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and technical specifications with accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.

- Salary Range: $120,000 - $170,000 dependent upon experience.
