Nevada Teacher Corps Job Embedded Pathway

Nevada Teacher Corps (NTC) is one of Las Vegas’ most accelerated and affordable Alternative Routes to Licensure programs. During the 2024-25 school year, our new "earn while you learn" approach provides current CCSD instructional support staff a pathway to licensure while actively working in a classroom.

What to Expect

Between March and July 2025, you will receive timely and responsive coaching while engaging in the curriculum to build skills for developing and executing lesson plans aligned to standards, ensuring high expectations, and maximizing student engagement. Training and coursework will take place between February 2025 – July 2025 and will include:

• Between 10-15 hours per month of job-embedded training/student teaching.
• Flexible, online coursework with weekly deadlines.
• In person professional development seminars.

After successfully meeting requirements in the Spring semester, you’ll begin the 2025-26 school year as a full-time teacher of record, earning a teacher's salary and benefits. Continue to build your skills by receiving personalized coaching and completing TNTP Academy (one-year program) leading to recommendation for standard licensure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree by June 2025​
• Minimum undergrad GPA of 2.0​
• Current CCSD instructional support staff
