We are excited to open a new opportunity for a Lead Production Test Engineer!

The Lead Production Test Engineer is primarily responsible for managing and mentoring a group of test technicians in our product test area. This Engineer will support scheduling and managing product test and integration activities, as well as provide mentorship to their team.

**CANDIDATES MUST HAVE AT LEASE 3-7 years SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE IN EMBEDDED PRODUCTS TO QUALIFY**

Essential Functions

    • Responsible for the daily effective management of production Test team operation
    • Reviews and publishes the monthly production test schedule working with the production planners and production managers
    • Establishes the daily priorities for test team to ensure efficient execution of product testing, quality yield and on time shipment
    • Co-ordinates and communicates product test failures with the electrical engineering team and manages resolution. 
    • Maintain and manages inventory of Test and Measurement equipment and making sure the test team have sufficient resources for testing the product at all times.  Ensure the test equipment’s are working and are calibrated.
    • Lead and grow a talented team of test technicians to test and deliver efficient high-volume products as per monthly plan.
    • Ensure all test procedures for products and operations follow best practices and provide feedback to engineering.

Requirements

Qualification and Skills

    • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline, with minimum 5 years’ experience in Test Engineering (or similar) including people management, preferably in high volume consumer electronics industry 
    • Ability to read electronic board schematics, follow test procedures, and use some basic logical trouble shooting techniques
    • Requires strong technical expertise in electronics manufacturing and testing processes, acumen to innovate for test and efficiency, and proven ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams 
    • Must be able to work with team and in a fast-paced environment
    • Self-disciplined, detail oriented, organized, and must have a strong leadership skill
    • Ability to work overtime and weekends depending on business demands
    • Must have excellent communication skills

  • Constantly operates a computer and other standard office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
  • Ability to handle and lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs.  Alone, the ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. in a two-person lift
