For one of our clients, we are looking for a Business Development Loan Officer: Commercial Real Estate, remotely from Connecticut but will consider candidates in Massachusetts.

As a Business Development Loan Officer, you will play a key role in expanding loan opportunities for real estate investors. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain relationships with borrowers, brokers, and industry professionals to drive loan volume and business growth. Beyond traditional loan origination, you will serve as a trusted advisor, offering tailored financing solutions that align with clients’ investment goals. You will work within a fast-paced environment, leveraging cutting-edge technology to streamline the sales process while ensuring an outstanding customer experience. Your ability to identify new opportunities and close deals efficiently will be essential in achieving long-term success.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive loan volume growth, with a target of exceeding $5mm in monthly originations.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with borrowers, brokers, and real estate professionals to ensure a steady pipeline of opportunities.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to effectively communicate the value of loan products and services.
  • Oversee the loan application process, ensuring smooth approvals and closings while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify emerging market trends and business opportunities to expand lending operations.
  • Collaborate with industry partners and stakeholders to strengthen referral networks and generate new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a loan officer or originator in commercial real estate or non-owner-occupied residential lending (related experience will be considered).
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong proficiency with office technology, including Microsoft Office and G-Suite.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ensuring a superior client experience.
