Position Summary
The purpose of the Worship and Arts Coordinator director of music is to equip and shepherd student musicians and worship arts leaders, and with the University Ministries team, to guide and support the worship planning process. This ministry will help provide dynamic, multicultural, inspirational worship experiences which encourage people to grow in their intimacy with God. This is a full-time 10-month position, August 1 – May 31.
Responsibilities
- Support the purpose, mission, and goals of the University and University Ministries
Assist in the planning of all worship services in conjunction with the pastoral staff. - Chair the planning, visioning, team building, and budgeting of the Worship Arts Team and attend the Worship Team meetings.
- Ensure that information regarding worship arts is submitted to the relevant parties in a timely manner for the weekly worship services.
- Personally mentor/disciple key student leaders
- Teach regularly in University Chapel and CollegeLife
- Support all-campus worship experiences in cooperation with other University Ministries staff
- Be available to students for pastoral counseling.
- Have a ministry of presence at campus activities and events.
- Manage appropriate and respective budget line items.
- Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of University Ministries
Requirements
- Evidence of personal Christian faith and passion for cross-cultural worship
- Bachelor’s required.
- Experience leading or serving on a Worship Team in both a college and church settings required.
- Familiarity with diverse worship forms preferred.
- Commitment to Christian mission of North Park University and its core distinctives
- Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills
