Position Overview: The Shipping & Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing Mixam’s courier and logistics partners delivery supply chain, improving cost performance, troubleshooting complaints, invoicing discrepancies, and striving for smooth global shipments.

This role involves coordinating with global suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure that all systems, processes, and requirements are aligned for optimal performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DPD, DHL, USPS, regional couriers as well as LTL) on a global level.
  • Negotiate carrier contracts, rates, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to secure competitive pricing and terms.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with carriers, addressing issues and ensuring SLA adherence.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of carrier offerings and advise on the most effective shipping solutions for various regions and customer requirements.
  • Monitor daily shipping operations to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to service commitments.
  • Resolve escalated shipping issues or delays and provide solutions to minimize disruptions to customer orders.
  • Oversee carrier compliance with invoicing accuracy and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
  • Coordinate with external production partners and shipping teams to ensure seamless integration between order fulfillment and shipping processes.
  • Analyze shipping data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Implement strategies to optimize shipping routes, delivery times, and service reliability.
  • Research and onboard new carriers to expand service options or address gaps in the existing network.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, shipping technologies, and emerging couriers to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service team to ensure quick and effective resolution of shipping-related queries or complaints.
  • Monitor delivery performance and proactively address issues that could impact customer satisfaction.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, cost per shipment, and carrier performance scores.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on shipping performance, carrier costs, and optimization initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in global logistics, carrier management, or shipping operations, preferably in an eCommerce environment.
  • Proven track record of managing carrier relationships and negotiating contracts.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and supplier management.

Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in global courier and shipping company management,contract optimization, operations management, logistics, or related fields, preferably in a fast moving industry such as tech or e-commerce. Strong understanding of shipping processes, including domestic and global logistics.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong data-driven decision-making and KPI monitoring capabilities.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a proactive approach to challenges
