About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Cloud Architect to join our team for a 1–2 year engagement. This role is crucial to the design, deployment, and support of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and applications within our ERP implementation project. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in OCI architecture, cloud service optimization, and automation tools to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient solutions that align with business objectives.

Location: Hybrid, Atlanta GA

Job Type: Contract (1–2 years)

Compensation: $80–$85/hour

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions to support ERP implementation.
  • Develop architecture blueprints, roadmaps, and strategies to meet business goals.
  • Deploy and manage cloud services, ensuring performance, scalability, and compliance.
  • Utilize scripting and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible for cloud operations.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Lead incident management and disaster recovery efforts for cloud systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud architecture with business requirements.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and provide thought leadership on their application.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle Cloud disciplines, including infrastructure architecture, middleware, database management, and security.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and cloud service deployment.
  • Expertise in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Familiarity with ITSM, ITIL, and SDLC methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Cloud Architecture or Oracle Cloud solutions.
  • Experience with disaster recovery and incident management in cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with modeling languages such as UML and ArchiMate.
  • Experience in a relevant industry, such as public sector or IT consulting.
