Job Overview:
As a Full Charge Bookkeeper at AMCON, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of bookkeeping for our company. This includes financial record-keeping, managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. You will work closely with the accounting team to prepare financial reports and give insights into our company's financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including invoicing, bill payments, and payroll processing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and ensure all accounts are up to date.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including the management of collections and vendor payments.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Prepare and file tax returns and manage compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective financial practices.
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
Requirements
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a construction or contracting environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
- Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- Experience with payroll processing and tax filings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Benefits
The annual base compensation range for this role is between $65,000 and $85,000. The successful candidate's actual base compensation will be based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and professional qualifications.
