Full Job Description
Are you passionate about vehicle technology and ensuring fleet reliability? Join our team as a Fleet Technician and play a critical role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and performance of advanced fleet vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality repairs and inspections efficiently and accurately per work instructions, documenting all findings in a specialized service platform.
- Conduct comprehensive multi-point inspections and system checks, recommending necessary services to enhance vehicle safety and reliability.
- Inspect and test all completed work to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Travel locally as needed to set up, configure, diagnose, and sign off vehicles for safe on-road usage.
- Assist with parts and tools inventory management, ensuring that shop facilities and technician tools remain in excellent condition.
- Perform advanced diagnostics and escalate complex issues to the engineering team when necessary.
- Maintain accurate service records and create detailed quality field reports.
Requirements
- 2+ years of technician experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Extensive knowledge of tools, parts, materials, and methods used in automotive systems maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check, MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check, and drug screen while complying with our Substance Abuse Policy.
- Strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive, "roll up your sleeves" work ethic.
- Exceptional communication skills and a team player attitude.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in automotive repair.
- ASE certification or manufacturer-specific training.
- Experience troubleshooting Linux-based systems, embedded modules, or self-driving systems.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and OEM systems, with expertise in:
- High-voltage (HV) systems and hybrid drivetrains.
- CAN/LIN communication protocols.
- HVAC, cooling systems, chassis, and suspension.
- Knowledge of fleet maintenance optimization.
- Willingness to occasionally travel nationally.
