Full Job Description
The Membership Representative is essential to fostering and maintaining relationships with members of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA). This role involves engaging with current and prospective members, providing exceptional customer service, and promoting the benefits of FVMA membership. As a Membership Representative, you will be responsible for managing member inquiries, processing membership applications, and supporting retention initiatives to grow and sustain the FVMA community.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for members, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and effectively.
- Process new membership applications, renewals, and ensure the accuracy of member records in the database.
- Conduct outreach to prospective members through various communication channels, promoting the value and benefits of FVMA membership.
- Assist in the development and execution of membership campaigns aimed at increasing engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and content highlighting membership benefits.
- Organize and participate in member engagement events, webinars, and workshops to enhance the member experience.
- Track and report on membership statistics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support the planning and execution of membership-related initiatives and programs.
- Participate in team meetings and trainings to contribute to the overall strategy of member services.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in customer service or membership support, preferably in an association or nonprofit setting.
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with membership databases or CRM software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Passion for veterinary medicine and a desire to support the professional community.
- Willingness to participate in occasional travel for member events.
