Duvall Homes is on the lookout for a compassionate and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be pivotal in providing high-quality care to our clients by assisting with clinical and administrative tasks. As a Medical Assistant, you will handle a variety of responsibilities, including taking patient histories, preparing examination rooms, assisting healthcare providers during examinations, and performing basic laboratory tests. Your strong organizational skills and attention to detail will ensure that daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Manage appointment scheduling, medical records, and patient follow-ups.
- Provide patient education on preventive healthcare and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant training program is preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
