Full Job Description

TechOp Solutions International is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Privacy Analyst, who will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the field of privacy. This pivotal role is responsible for delivering expert guidance and comprehensive insights in the crucial areas of identifying, evaluating, and interpreting a wide array of privacy regulations and policies. Furthermore, the Senior Privacy Analyst will play an integral part in ensuring effective operational oversight within our projects. This position not only demands a deep understanding of privacy regulations but also entails collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure compliance and conscientious implementation of privacy practices. The successful candidate will be a key player in supporting the Department of State and its critical mission.

Requirements

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for privacy-related inquiries, providing expert advice on legal, regulatory, and policy matters;
  • Conduct thorough Privacy Threshold Analyses (PTA); develop and review System of Records Notices (SORN), Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), and Privacy Act (PA) statements;
  • Lead assessments for new technologies and initiatives to assess and mitigate potential privacy risks;
  • Perform comprehensive privacy compliance reviews and evaluate documentation for adherence to applicable laws and policies;
  • Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to gather necessary information for privacy assessments;
  • Develop and deliver training materials and presentations on privacy best practices and compliance;
  • Provide oversight for the implementation of privacy solutions, ensuring they align with governance frameworks;
  • Analyze and recommend improvements to the agency’s existing privacy policies and procedures;
  • Stay current with evolving privacy legislation and regulations and ensure that the organization remains compliant;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field required;
  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience in privacy compliance and risk management;
  • Expertise in PTA, PIA, SORN processes required;
  • CIPP, CIPP/G, or other certifications from the International Institute of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) preferred;
  • Strong understanding of federal and state privacy laws and regulations;
  • US Citizenship required;
  • Ability to meet all security eligibility requirements;
  • Position located in Washington, DC.
