SciTec has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO). Our ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Security Team with implementing security measures necessary for developing and exercising security procedures in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM; 32 CFR, Part 117).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the FSOs with the overall security program
- Working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
- Assist with document control
- Provide assistance in developing security training, education, and security awareness programs
- Maintain personnel clearances, investigation reports, and foreign travel reports
- Support new hire onboarding/processing through DISS
- Review SF-86 investigations (NBIS) for completeness
- Assist in preparing DCSA self-inspection and security assessments
- Maintain/update information in security compliance software
- Process incoming and outgoing Visit Access Requests (VARs)
- Assist in developing/revising SciTec security policies and SOPs
- Support physical security measures for facilities, including badging, visitor access, and secure storage
- Must complete the CDSE DCSA FSO Possessing Facilities Certification within 6 months of hire.
- Support Ad Hoc projects as requested
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have a high school diploma or higher
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and work independently and with a team
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office products
- Demonstrated attention to detail
Preferred
- Secret Clearance
- 2-4 years of DoD DCSA security work experience
- Experience with military and government customers

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000 year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
