ROLE SUMMARY:
The Planning and Performance Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate demand planning and pipeline management to align with organizational goals. The role involves analyzing sales data, developing forecast models, and managing pipelines for products, ingredients, and installations (e.g., bots). The position serves as a critical bridge between data-driven predictions and operational execution, enabling the organization to anticipate demand accurately, optimize resources, and enhance overall efficiency.
Reporting to: Head of Commercial Strategy & Planning
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze historical data and market trends to develop demand forecasts for products, ingredients, and installations
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate promotions, campaigns, and other factors into forecasts
Refine and implement forecasting models to improve accuracy
Monitor and adjust forecasts based on real-time data, feedback, and external market factors
Maintain and monitor the sales pipeline to align demand forecasting with sales activities and operational capacity
Identify bottlenecks or discrepancies in the pipeline and recommend corrective actions
Ensure pipeline data is up-to-date and reflects accurate customer and sales team inputs
Work closely with supply chain, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and resource planning
Generate regular reports on forecast accuracy, pipeline health, and variance analyses for stakeholders
Provide actionable insights to leadership to guide decision-making on resource allocation and inventory planning
Identify and implement improvements in forecasting methods and pipeline management processes
Lead initiatives to incorporate advanced analytics and automation into forecasting workflows.
Productivity KPIs will include:
- Forecast accuracy (measured as Mean Absolute Percentage Error or similar metrics)
- Pipeline conversion rate (percentage of leads moving from one stage to the next)
- Reduction in forecast-to-actual variance over time
- Inventory optimization metrics, such as reduced stockouts or excess inventory
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, economics, data science, or a related field (Master’s
preferred)
Minimum 3–5 years in demand forecasting, supply chain management, or pipeline management
Experience in industries requiring dynamic forecasting, such as FMCG, retail, or manufacturing
Analytical thinker with strong numerical aptitude
Proactive problem solver with a focus on continuous improvement
Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
Technologically adept, with a passion for leveraging tools and software for operational efficiency.
Salary $110,000 - $140,000 per year
plus bonus and stock options
