Role Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking Controller to lead financial strategy, business administration, and operations. Reporting directly to the CEO and Founder, the Controller will play a critical role in managing financial planning, ensuring compliance, optimizing business processes, and supporting the company’s growth. This role will also involve collaboration with the Korean team to ensure seamless global operations.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure transparency and alignment with business goals.
- Lead accounting operations, ensuring adherence to US-GAAP standards and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Monitor cash flow, manage capital allocation, and mitigate financial risks.
- Corporate Administration
- Ensure compliance with financial regulatory standards, including audits and tax filings.
- Oversee key administrative functions such as contract management, insurance policies, and operational governance.
- Manage and enhance human resource functions, including onboarding, employee engagement, and benefits administration.
- Develop and implement operational policies to streamline processes and improve organizational efficiency.
- Cross-Border Collaboration
- Partner with the Korean team to ensure alignment on financial operations, accounting practices, and compliance standards across regions.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between global teams to support strategic and operational goals
- Strategic Business Support
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to provide data-driven insights for key business decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align financial strategies with operational goals.
- Support strategic partnerships and contract negotiations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred).
- 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience, preferably in SaaS, tech, or healthcare sectors.
- Expertise in US-GAAP compliance, bookkeeping, QuickBooks, and accounting operations.
- Proven experience in managing corporate governance, contracts, and human resources functions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional and cross-border teams.
- Familiarity with Korean business practices or proficiency in Korean is a plus but not required.
