Capital Trust Escrow is a leading independent and bonded escrow company based in Beverly Hills. We are highly competent and experienced in handling precise escrow transactions on time. Our goal is to educate our customers about the escrow process, ensuring their expectations and goals are met every step of the way. We strive to minimize surprises during escrow by maintaining close communication and a high-touch relationship with our clients throughout the entire process.

We are currently seeking a Director of Escrow Operations to provide strategic leadership and oversee the day-to-day functions of the company. This role is responsible for ensuring all transactions are processed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Director will have a strong background in both management and hands-on Escrow Officer work, along with a proven track record of business development and client relationship management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for all escrow activities.
  • Manage and mentor a team of escrow professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other industry partners.
  • Oversee escrow accounting and reconciliation processes.
  • Actively contribute to business development efforts, leveraging existing relationships and generating new business opportunities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide hands-on support with escrow transactions and file reviews (audits) as necessary.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as a Senior Escrow Manager/Escrow Officer, with a focus on commercial and SFR escrows. Experience with AIR Forms, CAR Forms, and custom agreements is essential.
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team of at least five direct reports.
  • Proven expertise in escrow bookkeeping and accounting practices.
  • Established book of business and a willingness to maintain client relationships and contribute to business development.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation, demonstrating empathy and superior communication skills (phone, email, and in-person).
  • Experience with RBJ software is a plus.
  • Ability to provide hands-on support with escrow transactions and file reviews as needed.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience processing and closing commercial real estate transactions.
  • Expert knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the escrow/title industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of title insurance, regulatory guidelines, legal documents, and real property law.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive customer relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Willingness to work primarily onsite in Beverly Hills, with flexibility as needed.
