About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and driven Backend Engineer with a strong foundation in the MERN stack, as well as experience building and managing integrations. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience integrating systems using Rest APIs, and a passion for building scalable and efficient web applications.

As a Backend Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to both front-end and back-end development, and play a key role in delivering seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to maintain, build and improve our Backend integrations
• Manage and optimize database queries and structures using MongoDB
• Write clean, reusable and efficient code adhering to best practices and coding standards
• Debug and resolve application errors, performance bottlenecks and security issues
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools and technologies in web development

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Backend Developer or similar role
• Proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Solid backend development experience with Node.js and Express.js
• Experience working with MongoDB and designing efficient database schemas
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with deployment pipelines, CI/CD tools, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Experience with health care data
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
