IAV is currently seeking ADAS Engineer – Verification and Validation in Bay Area California. Candidate could be resident or willing to relocate in Bay Area California.

 Essential Responsibilities & Activities:

 The ADAS Engineer in Verification and Validation is responsible for ensuring that Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) meet the required standards and specifications through rigorous testing and validation processes. This role involves verifying that the systems function correctly and safely under various conditions and scenarios.

System Validation:

o   Conduct system validation to ensure the fulfillment of system functions and requirements.

o   Collect and document detected errors in a traceable manner.

o   Ensure consistency of tests with system requirements through traceability.

o   Perform iterative validation and testing for subsystems, documenting results in different test protocols if required.

Software Component Verification:

o   Verify that software components are consistent with the software architectural design.

o   Integrate software elements and verify their consistency with the software detailed design.

Calibration Verification:

o   Test and evaluate data sets for compliance with calibration requirements.

o   Document detected errors and ensure bidirectional traceability between tests and requirements.

o   Revise parameterizations and repeat integration and tests based on results.

Hardware Verification:

o   Verify hardware to ensure compliance with hardware requirements and design specifications.

o   Develop verification strategies and specifications consistent with project plans and release schedules.

o   Record and communicate verification results to all affected parties.

Test Case Specification:

o   Specify dynamic test cases and other verification measures for software integration steps.

o   Ensure traceability of test cases and verification measures.

Communication:

o   Communicate approved software units and their verification results to affected parties.

o   Summarize and communicate verification results to all stakeholders.

 Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience with Verification and Validation for ADAS/AD assisted or automated Parking functions.
• Technical competence in the domain of ADAS.

• Ability to interpret legal and normative requirements and derive technical requirements.
• Knowledge of development processes and methods.
• Expertise in vehicle diagnosis and vehicle testing
• Systems thinking and knowledge of systems development methods.
• Competence in cross-domain disciplines such as functional safety, cybersecurity, and requirements management.
• Strong analytical skills and structured work approach.
• Proficiency in application, diagnostic, and analysis tools (e.g., INCA)
• Familiarity with automotive communication standards (CAN, FlexRay, and Ethernet)
• Ability to travel domestic and international as needed
