We're hiring an Acquisition, Production and Development Coodinator

About the job:

As our ADP Coordinator, you’ll be a vital team member, ensuring the smooth operation of acquisitions, production, and development processes. Your work will directly contribute to discovering, developing, and distributing independent films that leave a lasting impact. From script evaluations to coordinating production schedules and supporting festival and market strategies, this role is perfect for someone who loves organization, thrives on collaboration, and is passionate about film.

This position is integral to the team's success, focusing mainly on operational support. While there may not be immediate opportunities for advancement within the ADP Department, it offers valuable experience and plays a critical role in the department's day-to-day operations. The role reports directly to the President of Acquisitions, Development, and Production.

Your Day-to-Day:

Acquisitions Support:

  • Track, evaluate, and manage incoming submissions, including scripts, treatments, and rough cuts.
  • Conduct script reading and coverage to assess story potential and alignment with company goals.
  • Maintain the acquisitions database and manage project tracking.

Production Coordination:

  • Assist with day-to-day production tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and liaising with filmmakers.
  • Organize and oversee production logistics, ensuring timelines are met and resources are allocated effectively.
  • Support production teams during major festivals and markets.

Development Coordination:

  • Work closely with the development team to manage creative projects from concept to greenlight.
  • Provide research support, prepare pitch materials, and track progress of projects in development.
  • Coordinate meetings, notes, and follow-ups with key stakeholders, including writers, directors, and producers.

Administrative Support:

  • Handle calendar management, travel arrangements for President of ADP, and other administrative tasks for the department.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for incoming inquiries, ensuring clear communication and professional follow-through.
  • Support the team at festivals, markets, and other industry events.
  • Process and submit expense reports for the President and manage departmental invoices

Compensation:

California and New York State Annual Pay Transparency Range:  $65,000 - $70,000. This pay range represents the base salary per year for full-time positions. Actual base pay may vary based on several factors, including the location, the candidate's relevant knowledge and experience, education, necessary skill levels, the degree of specialization required for the position, budgetary limitations, and prevailing local market conditions.

Our Hybrid Work Model:
This job can be located in either New York, or Los Angeles. Our hybrid work model is beautifully straightforward: We spend three days a week working from the office. These intentional in-person days allow us to embrace the benefits of collaboration fully. The remaining days of the week are yours to decide where to work, allowing for a seamless blend of work and personal life.

Requirements

About you:

  • A passion for independent film and storytelling.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A self starter with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in script reading and coverage is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful with a knack for problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with film-related databases and tools (e.g., IMDbPro, StudioBinder).
  • A collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for working in a creative, dynamic environment.
  • Team-oriented and able to collaborate across departments.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
