Overview:
At Central Moloney, we specialize in the manufacturing and distribution of high-quality transformers and transformer components. We are seeking a skilled Power Winder to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling transformer coils using precision winding techniques, ensuring adherence to our stringent quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate power winding machines to create coils for transformers based on technical specifications.
- Load wire and materials onto machines and ensure correct dimensions and winding parameters are achieved.
- Monitor machine operations during the winding process to adjust speed and tension as necessary.
- Inspect finished coils for accuracy and quality, making adjustments when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to address production goals and challenges.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops for skills enhancement.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or as a winding technician preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of electrical components.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for operating machinery and documenting production data.
- Willingness to adhere to safety practices and protocols.
- Physical ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
