Special Education Paraeducator

The Paraprofessional will be assigned for the purpose of providing direct educational tutoring services under the direction of the teacher and/or administrator.  The Paraprofessional will be accountable to the Principal.  This employee is expected to perform other assigned duties.

• Assist the teacher in the implementation of the educational program.
• Work with groups of children on education tasks assigned by the teacher who addresses targeted goals.
• Assists and follows directives of the teacher with classroom routines/instructional implementation.
• Act as a substitute for teachers when they are involved in scheduled meeting (i.e., PPT’s, case conferences, etc.) or if out ill or on an extended leave.
• Attending conferences, groups, meetings, and school in-services when assigned by school administration or designees.
• Demonstrate sensitivity and awareness regarding cultural diversity as it relates to the client...
