Financial Analyst in Indiana

Our client, a municipal organization in the Indianapolis area, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team.

Reporting to the Controller and Utility CFO, the Financial Analyst will:

• Lead revenue collections throughout multiple departments
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
• Complete monthly bank reconciliation according to utility/city policy
• Develop financial plans and reports for department heads and managers
• Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2 or more years of professional experience as a financial analyst, accountant, or auditor
• Deep understanding of GAAP principles and auditing standards
• Proficient with financial and office-related software programs
• Working knowledge of fund accounting
